Bible and Theology
Biblical Doctrines
Biblical Beliefs presents foundational Bible doctrines in a popular, easy-to-understand format. Covered in the course are creation and the fall of man, faith and regeneration, justification and adoption, prayer and worship, angels, Satan, resurrection and judgment, and the church.
NT Survey
New Testament
Survey
brings unity and chronological sequence to New Testament study by
weaving the contents of the books around a central theme-the person of
Christ. Divisions are the synoptic Gospels, the Gospel of John, the Book
of Acts, the Pauline Epistles in chronological order, the General
Epistles, and the Book of Revelation. (Prerequisite to
Ordination)
OT Survey
Old Testament Survey explores the exciting times of ancient Israel. It includes topics such as the patriarchs, Israel’s trek to the Promised Land, David’s reign, Solomon’s kingdom, the kingdom of Judah, the exile, and the return from captivity. It probes the message of the books of poetry and prophecy, which gives insight into God's dealings with His people. This course relates the great writings of the prophets to us today. It is in chronological sequence to avoid duplication of historical background information. (Prerequisite to Ordination)
The Triune God
The Triune God course covers the individuality of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and the biblical teaching of the Trinity. Topics include the character/work of God; the preexistence, incarnation, deity, death, resurrection and return of Christ; and the personality and power of the Holy Spirit.
Bible Study Methods
You and Your Bible holds that believers should be well informed about the Word of God. This course presents the inspiration and authorship of the Bible, how it was preserved, why we believe it, how we deal with its problems and critics, the role of archaeology, and ways to study the Bible more effectively
Ministry Skills
Church Education Ministries
Church Educational Ministries provides a panorama of educational ministries in the local church: Sunday School, home Bible studies, summer ministries, retreats and camps, adult education, youth and club programs, children's church, and missions. It presents each program's uniqueness, strengths, structure and resources.
Growing Towards Spiritual Maturity
Growing Toward Spiritual Maturity - A strategy for growing toward Christ-likeness must be based on the actual ways that people grow and develop into maturity in Christ. Through identifying and understanding how we grow spiritually, we become more intentional in our use of time and methods.
Sunday School Ministries
Sunday School Ministry - This course clarifies the traditional purposes, functions, and organization of the local church program known as Sunday School. Covers all aspects of the ministry of bringing children, youth, and adults to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, enriching their Christian lives, and preparing them to serve Christ.
Teaching Adults with Confidence
Teaching Adults With Confidence is designed to provide in-depth training for those who are teaching the Bible to adults. Course sessions answer the following questions: Why is it important to teach adults? What are the characteristics of adults at various stages of life? How do adults learn and how should they be taught? What are the key principles for organizing and growing adult Sunday School classes?
Teaching Youth with Confidence
Teaching Youth With Confidence - What are we trying to do with our teenagers? If this question was posed to a number of youth workers and teachers, a variety of answers would surely be given, and it is rather certain that most of the answers would be in some manner on target. However, it seems clear the one overall purpose of youth education is to fulfill the biblical mandate from Christ to change lives by making disciples
Teaching Techniques
Teaching Techniques focuses on the philosophical basis of methodology, insights from current research, an overview of classroom usage, and principles of selection for specific purposes and audiences. It is a companion to Understanding Teaching.

Understanding Music & Worship is written with the layperson in mind and focuses on the important role of these two elements in the life of the church. It provides a historical overview of music and worship, biblical foundations for both, and practical instruction on how to renew both within the local church.

This course covers the biblical foundations of evangelism, conversion and regeneration, how to lead a person to a decision for Christ, age-specific techniques, team efforts, visitation, discipling new believers, and the importance of prayer in the entire process of evangelism.
Leadership Skills
Manual Course
This is a critical study of the Constitution and By Laws of the Christian Baptist Churches. All applicants for ordination must take this course. (Prerequisite to Ordination)
Church Leadership & Church Government
This course takes those that have leadership responsibilities and shows them how government was preformed in the earlier Christian Church. (Prerequisite to Ordination)
Christian Ethics
Christian Ethics in a Postmodern World: For Christians, ethics must be rooted in the absolutes of God's Word. This course examines critical questions such as abortion, euthanasia, bioethics, human sexuality, politics, war, capital punishment, race, the arts, and the environment, from a biblical viewpoint.
Effectively Leading
Effectively Leading explores the wide variety of areas with which volunteer and professional church leaders must contend today. This course explains the difference in leaders who are effective and those who are efficient and what this means to the local church.
Perspectives from Church History
Perspectives from Church History - As a basic introduction to the subject, this course covers the major periods of church history: The Ancient Church, The Medieval Church, The Reformation Church, and The Modern Church. It is designed to give Christians an overview of their spiritual heritage.
Understanding People
Understanding People - To truly understand people we must combine the rigorous formal study of developmental issues with our own observations and thorough study of Scripture. This course helps the Bible teacher enhance ministry skills to work with people more effectively.
