About Us

The administration, faculty, and curriculum of Faith Bible Institute Reflects the doctrinal position of the Christian Baptist Churches: namely Arminianism with appropriate emphasis upon regeneration, holy living, and service, as made possible by the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit.

Faith Bible Institute is dedicated primarily to provide capable Christian teachers, to serve the individual by encouraging them to be Christ-like through constant communion with the Lord, but most of all, to place the Bible at the heart of the curriculum as solid core, not only as an objective of study, but as a guide to living and as an inspirational and devotional challenge.

Our school stresses a Bible education with spiritual emphasis.

The purpose of this catalog is to acquaint you with what Faith Bible Institute offers you in the way of Christian training.

We want you to take a good look at yourself, consider the training you will need to meet your goals in life, and then decide if the Bible Institute can help you achieve those goals.

ARE YOU A CHRISTIAN? There was a day in which that question would have needed no interpretation. But, lest it be misunderstood, we will state that a Christian is one who has had their sins forgiven by trusting Jesus Christ as his personal Savior.

ARE YOU A DEDICATED CHRISTIAN? Christianity is serous business and calls for discipline and sacrifice. Unfortunately, many Christians are not willing to live disciplined lives or make the sacrifices required of a Christian worker.

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR GODS WILL? Faith Bible Institute wants to minister to the needs of people who want to do God’s will. No search in life is more vital.

History

The vision of several individuals who had a vital interest in the spiritual welfare and Christian education of young people became answered prayer in 1963 as God moved upon the hearts of Dr. Jack Fletcher, Rev. Daniel LeRoy, Ray Montgomery, Rev. Arnold Billups, and Rev. E. A. Lewis.

Under the guidance of Dr. Fletcher, a sate charter was granted in 1964. The school operated part time in the former Rubyville Grade School. The need of accommodations for full time students prompted the move to its present location at the Christian Baptist Camp Grounds in Wheelersburg, Ohio. The new administration building was dedicated in January, 1970. The school offered a four-year program in 1971. In August, 1973, a new dorm was to be completed.
